The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
